  Scope

  The collection is a repository of the open access articles published in the Alexandria Engineering Journal. Alexandria Engineering Journal is an international journal devoted to publishing high quality papers in the field of engineering and applied science. Alexandria Engineering Journal is cited in the Engineering Information Services (EIS) and the Chemical Abstracts (CA). The papers published in Alexandria Engineering Journal are grouped into five sections, according to the following classification: • Mechanical, Production, Marine and Textile Engineering • Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Nuclear Engineering • Civil and Architecture Engineering • Chemical Engineering and Applied Sciences • Environmental Engineering Alexandria Engineering Journal publishes original papers, critical reviews, technical papers, technical data, short notes, and letters to the editor. Papers covering experimental, theoretical, and computational aspects which contribute to the understanding of engineering and applied sciences or give an insight into engineering practices and processes are welcome. Authors from all over the world are invited to submit manuscripts for possible publications in Alexandria Engineering Journal.

  Scope

  JOURNAL OF MARITIME RESEARCH (JMR) publishes original research papers in English analysing the maritime sector international, national, regional or local. JMR is published quarterly and the issues-whether ordinary or monographic-include both theoretical and empirical approaches to topics of current interest in line with the editorial aims and scope of the journal.

  The objective of JMR is to contribute to the progress, development and diffusion of research on the maritime sector. The aim is to provide a multidisciplinary forum for studies of the sector from the perspective of all four of the following broad areas of scientific knowledge: experimental sciences, nautical sciences, engineering and social sciences.

  The manuscripts presented must be unpublished works which have not been approved for publication in other journals. They must also fulfil all the requirements indicated in the 'Technical specifications' section. The quality of the papers is guaranteed by means of a process of blind review by two scientific referees and one linguistic reviewer. Although the journal is published in print format, the processes of submission and reception of manuscripts, as well as revision and correction of proofs are all done electronically.

• Presentations to the VII International Conference on Computational Methods in Marine Engineering (Marine 2017)

  Scope

  The objective of Marine 2017 is to be a meeting place for researchers developing computational methods and scientists and engineers focusing on challenging applications in marine engineering.

  By marine engineering we include applications within the maritime and offshore industry as well as scientific and engineering challenges related to the marine environment.  The conference goal is to make a step forward in the formulation and computational solution of marine engineering problems accounting for all the complex couplings involved in the physical description of the problems.

  The conference topics will include: Ship hydrodynamics, Structural analysis of marine structures, Offshore structures, Sea-pipe mechanics, Advances in mechanical methods for marine engineering (new finite element, finite difference, finite volume and boundary element methods, particle methods, meshless methods, etc.), Computational environmental mechanics in marine problems, Algorithms for solving multidisciplinary problems in marine engineering, Marine engineering applications.

  The conference is one of the Thematic Conferences of the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS). It is also supported by other scientific organisations in Europe and worldwide including the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM).
