Abstract

In the manuscript of Yerros de Naturaleza y aciertos de la Fortuna preserved in the Biblioteca Nacional, the folios attributed to Antonio Coello are not autograph, as has always been assumed. This fact imposes the need to reinterpret the textual interventions made by whoever it was who copied these parts of the text, undoubtedly someone linked to a theatre company. There are clear signs that, without consulting the poets, the company introduced important changes in their text, even reordering segments of the third act.
