  Abstract

  In this paper we study the transfer of the property of Hopfian modules between the right RR-module MRMR and some of its extension classes. Namely, under certain conditions, we show that: MRMR is a Hopfian right RR-module if and only if the skew generalized power series module [[MS,≤]][[MS,≤]] is a Hopfian right [[RS,≤,ω]][[RS,≤,ω]]-module.

  Abstract

  A set DD of vertices of a graph GG is called a dominating set   of GG if every vertex in V(G)−DV(G)−D is adjacent to a vertex in DD. A dominating set SS such that the subgraph 〈S〉〈S〉 induced by SS has at least one isolated vertex is called an isolate dominating set. An isolate dominating set none of whose proper subset is an isolate dominating set is a minimal isolate dominating set. The minimum and maximum cardinality of a minimal isolate dominating set are called the isolate domination number  γ0γ0 and the upper isolate domination number  Γ0Γ0 respectively. In this paper we initiate a study on these parameters.

  Abstract

  In this paper, definitions of Lα1 function space, ββ-well function space and quasi-Carathéodory function are given, existence results for solutions of a class of Sturm–Liouville boundary value problems of fractional differential equations with multiple order derivatives D0+α[Φ(ρ(t)D0+βx(t))] are established. The analysis relies on a well known fixed point theorem. Some examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of main theorems.

• Slant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds

  Abstract

  We introduce and characterize slant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We survey main results of slant Riemannian submersions defined on Sasakian manifolds. We give a sufficient condition for a slant Riemannian submersion from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds to be harmonic. We also give an example of such slant submersions. Moreover, we find a sharp inequality between the scalar curvature and norm squared mean curvature of fibres.

  Abstract

  Una lectura cuidadosa del Quijote revela que la genial novela no sólo está hecha con palabras. Como toda gran obra literaria, la obra cervantina está llena de silencios. El narrador (que no puede ser equiparado con Cervantes, como hemos establecido en otra ocasión) calla y omite ciertos detalles, o los dice a medias. El presente texto discute las omisiones cervantinas y las hace patente con tres ejemplos, extraídos de la primera parte de la novela, que más que descuidos o inconsistencias, como han querido ver algunos, los silencios de Cervantes nos muestran el cuidado con que el autor armó su escritura. A careful reading of Don Quixote shows that this masterly novel is not composed of words alone. As all literary masterpieces, the Cervantine work is full with silence. The narrator (who cannot be identified with Cervantes, as we have established before) keeps silent and skips over certain details, or gives partial accounts of them. This paper discusses some Cervantine omissions, and evidences by means of three passages from the first part of the novel that such silences are not overlooks or inconsistences, as some have suggested. Instead, Cervantes’ silence shows the great writing skill of the author.
